They have also grown in the past 2 years while others have only sustained at best.   Corporate Recruiter  The corporate recruiter will support and lead all recruiting efforts of their assigned line of business for up to 5 separate locations.  Primary responsibilities are developing and leading transportation brokerage recruiting programs. Development and managing relationships with internal hiring managers, recruiting and interviewing, managing and analyzing relevant information. Additional responsibilities will include, but is not limited to the creation, implementation and creation of industry contacts and networking to assess competitiveness for a specific region.  Lead the preparation and execution of innovative and cost-effective recruiting plans to meet objectives defined in the overall Brokerage recruiting plan. Details: Position:  Payroll Specialist TRANSPORTATIONDuration:  Temp-to-HirePay:  $35-38K per year DOELocation:  PortlandHours:  M-F 8am - 5pm Position Details: ~ Must possess experience in the transportation industry! ~ Understanding of DOT requirements (Hours of Service knowledge, etc.) and at first this position starts with responsibility for bi-weekly payroll for approximately 170 drivers across multiple western US states.  The drivers manage time online and the Payroll Specialist will pull time settlements from online systems. Audit for accuracy using knowledge gleaned from frequent processing (i.e. if a driver that normally works 40-50 hours shows only 30 hours confirm that the total is accurate). This position will grow to include semi-monthly payroll responsibilities (i.e. approximately 30 Admin/Mgmt). General Ledger Experience Comfortable with continual change and systems/software advancement and understanding that company aim is to have as much integration of cross-functional systems as possible.Must also understand that technological advancement is pursued as a means of staying efficient not as an attempt to cut personnel.Office is an efficiently lean operation, qualified candidates can not operate in a payroll silo, must multi task and be eager to assist in other areas/departments including HR (exp.
